Constructed of magnetic blackened iron, consisting of a Cross Patte, the obverse with a central monogram of Grand Duke Friedrich August, the six oclock arm with an institution date of 1914, the twelve oclock arm with a royal crown, with a laurel wreath through the quadrants, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback, unmarked,
